Visa Application
Children under the age of 16 do not need a visa. They only need a valid Passport which is at least 6 months valid. Children of age of 16 years plus 1 day need to apply for a visa.
There are three ways to acquire a Visa;
- At the Embassy
- On line http://evisa.go.ke/evisa.html
- On arrival (Check if you are eligible) if you do not fall under Referred Visa Category (Check List)
REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN A SINGLE ENTRY VISA AT THE EMBASSY
- Visa application form 22
- Valid passport (minimum of six months validity and at least two blank pages)
- A photocopy of passport
- A photocopy of residence permit for non EU nationals
- A photocopy of return ticket or flight reservation
- One standard passport size photo (homemade photos will not be accepted)
- Visa fee: 40€ in cash
- For a business, an official letter from the employer
Applications by Post should also include:
- 40€ in cash (cheques and money order are not accepted)
- Self-addressed stamped envelope (registered mail tariff) for the return of the passport. The envelope must have sufficient return postage
NB: Applications not meeting the above requirements will be considered INCOMPLETE and will not be accepted.
REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN A REFERRED VISA AT THE EMBASSY
- 1 copy of Visa application form22
- Valid passport or travel document and 1 copy of the same
- 1 passport size photographs
- 1 copy of applicant’s residence permit
- A letter of visa request from the applicant (must be written by the applicant and signed)
- For a business visa, an official letter from the employer must be produced (1 copy)
- Invitation from the receiving company and the copy of the identity card of the person who wrote the Invitation
- The certificate of corporation of the company in Kenya
- For a tourist visa, a letter of invitation and a photocopy of the identity card of the host must be produced (1 copy)
- 10€ being visa processing fees
